Can the same prompt start feeling like you? 🥸
I'm not a fan of long, super-specific prompts, and much more interested in building systems where my vision lives naturally in every single image. So I'm pretty picky about creating personal styles for each of my projects
Sometimes one sref is enough, sometimes it takes a combination of a few, and sometimes I need a whole moodboard
Personalization used to feel like the most inconvenient option because I had to go through hundreds of image pairs, which took me daaaays. But apparently the whole thing has been redesigned in 8.2 and now all the images are shown in one even grid, and you need to choose waaaay fewer to get a really good result!
So in case you've been avoiding Midjourney personalization too, you can probably stop now 🎉

Drop a prompt in the comments (even one word hehe) and I'll send you the image it creates🙌

The 8.2 grid change sounds like a genuine quality of life fix, hundreds of pairs down to one grid. Curious what tips you off that a single sref isn't going to cut it and you need the whole moodboard instead, is that decided project by project or do certain aesthetics just always need more scaffolding?

Sometimes the style is just too multidimensional for a single sref, so I have to experiment with combinations to capture all its layers. And once that turns into a tail of 4+ srefs, it is much easier to collect them into one moodboard profile
Then, when the right results start...

Feeding results back into the same moodboard so it evolves is such a good system, way more sustainable than starting from scratch each time. Does it ever drift somewhere you didn't expect, or has it stayed pretty consistent with your original style once it locks in?

depends on what to add to the moodboard 😄

I really like how you shared your approach to design. It is great to see how you find a balance between using few prompts and moodboards.

Going from hundreds of image pairs to one grid is the kind of interface fix that actually changes whether people use a feature at all. Curious if you're finding the style transfers hold up consistently across different subjects, or does it still need tweaking per prompt?

in most cases no style tweaking needed

The systems-over-long-prompts point lands for me: a specific prompt and a specific style are different levers, and the second is what makes a body of work feel like one hand made it. Sounds like the 8.2 grid finally makes that cheap to tune. Since you are taking prompts, I would...
