The best characters are the ones with character, and Knowie is definitely one of those special ones to me.
Every interaction, state, reaction, and motion was designed to give students a small, joyful moment while they study, helping them to delightfully break the routine.
The current setup is already quite complex: standalone animations, looped states, animated custom brush outlines, eye and head tracking, plus a mix of rigging and frame-by-frame animation. And there’s more to come.
Can’t wait for everyone to meet Knowie in the Knowunity app! 🚀

How did you manage to get those brush stroke type textures on the side? Is it a moving grain or a script? So so cool! I made a goose which I need to make look more illustrated so trying to figure that out at the moment

Surprisingly, it’s happened to me more times than I expected.
Vybes was an organic deodorant brand from Australia I worked on, designing packaging for a product that, in the end, never made it to market.
It’s a weird feeling putting so much thought into packaging for a product that people will never see on a shelf.
