Gradient glass as a backgound
Developed entirely within After Effects to create a premium, tactile visual experience. The dynamic background utilizes Color Lights layered with Turbulent Displace to break away from static gradients, producing an organic, fluid motion. To achieve the signature glassmorphism effect, I combined Fast Box Blur with Wave Warp. This specific setup emulates realistic physical refraction and distortion, giving the glass overlay its frosted texture and tangible depth.

What started as a poster for a local Longboard Fest turned into a creative playground.
I began by generating an illustration from two reference images. After a LOT of iterations, I finally found the direction I was looking for.
Then I experimented with Envato's Style Transfer, exploring different visual styles until one really stood out.
My first idea was simple: place the poster into mockups and animate a flyer falling onto the sand. But once I saw it... it just didn't feel right.
So I changed direction.
While browsing Envato's video templates, I found one with layered posters. Instead of choosing a single design, I decided to animate five different versions of my poster.
That unexpected decision completely transformed the final result, and became my Human by Design moment.
AI helped me explore possibilities, but the creative direction, the decisions, and the final story were entirely human.

I like that you shared the changes in direction instead of just the final result. Those creative pivots are usually where the strongest ideas come from.
That glass/liquid metal look on the FOX mark is really slick - the refraction on the folds actually reads as material, not just a shader preset. Was this pure After Effects work or did you bring in a 3D render pass for the base shapes?
Together with Billie Bonkers, we translated a complex mobility policy for the City of Turnhout into a clear and accessible 120-second animated explainer.
The animation explains how the city is working toward a more accessible, liveable, and future-proof Turnhout. By simplifying policy language, structuring the information, and using approachable visuals, we made the plan easier to understand for a broad audience.
Our role focused on turning complex information into a clear animated narrative that informs citizens without overwhelming them.
Translating a mobility policy document into a 120 second explainer without it turning into a wall of text on screen is genuinely hard, and the isometric city illustration style makes it feel warm instead of bureaucratic. How involved was the city in reviewing the script versus just handing you the policy doc?
