GenDesigner Play is an interactive web app equipping the next generation of designers. The app aims to transform the principles of visual design into cause-and-effect puzzles that children from 3 yrs+ can engage with. Instead of reading about theory, kids can learn by doing—feeling the weight, structure, and balance of digital elements in real-time. Google Stitch has been used in the initial exploration of the dashboard and landing page. We started off with the design.md import as well as a brief react prototype code base. This was then used to come up with the dashboard exploration as well as a Contrast game and journey map. A background animation was explored using building blocks as animated design elements. Then a landing page was explored and iterated on, finally being exported to Netlify through the new preview feature to see what it would look like on different devices. Generally Google Stitch use was great for the exploration and initial development, still looking to refine a lot more and continue iterating before live testing. The ease of deployment via netlify intergration was particularly lovely. The current design is https://stitch.withgoogle.com/projects/8129524678062519122 With the exported landing page on https://9c12dd6c-gendesigner-design-system.netlify.app/
