I'm working on a Japanese-inspired lifestyle and apparel brand called Makoto (誠).

Brand Essence: Makoto means sincerity and truth in Japanese. The brand is inspired by the my dog who passed away (Makoto), the Akita dog symbolizing loyalty and devotion. Every product reflects the emotional bond between humans and their dogs. I created these logo concepts on loveart. Which logo do you like most?

I had to go with the second one. I'm a dog person myself, so it's face as the artwork on the logo is just pretty to me. Really sorry to hear about your loss as well. May Makoto reach the highest of the Heavens.

Other visuals for KŌRO. I built the entire identity from the logic of the cylindrical label. A wordmark designed to wrap. A copper rule above the type that functions as the label's top edge, and when applied to a bottle, that rule becomes structural, not decorative.
