NOT DAMAGE — When restoration erases the memory
I used Envato to build and test an AI-assisted restoration workflow for a worn family photograph. To pressure-test the obvious approach, I deliberately asked for a complete clean-up—including every mark on the print. It removed the dust, repaired the crease, and erased a handwritten note along with the damage.
That was my Human by Design moment. I rejected the technically cleaner version and changed the brief: restoration should repair deterioration without editing away evidence of a life. The handwriting I chose to preserve became the central device for a speculative campaign called KEEP.
Envato was the primary toolkit across ImageGen, ImageEdit, a licensed handwriting typeface, MusicGen, and MockupGen. My role was to decide what “correct” meant, curate the outputs, and turn one rejected result into the idea:
AI repaired the picture. I repaired the memory.
KEEP — Restore the image. Keep the evidence.

I used Envato years ago while I was starting up with freelancing. A few years later, I came back to it, and this time I didn’t just use it; I think I completely overused it.
I spent all 100 credits creating what I call the “Green Earth Project”. More than just a video, it is a thought, a story, and a reminder that the future of our planet is something we design together.
The idea was simple: what if humanity chose to rebuild, restore, and respect the Earth we call home?
I started with my own concepts, transformed them into visuals using Envato’s AI image generation, turned those images into moving scenes, created sound and voiceovers with AI tools, and finally edited everything together into one seamless story. This is my take on Human by Design.
The final walkthrough only shows the selected clips. The rest of the experiments, failed attempts, and creative chaos stayed behind because trust me, there was a lot of it. 😄
This project is not just about technology. It is about using creativity to imagine a cleaner, greener future.

Reposting my submission for the #envatochallenge: a complete luxury visual identity and promo for House of Racky.
As a brand designer and video editor, I used @envato as my primary toolkit to explore what happens when AI speed meets human taste.
The "Human by Design" Pivot:
While AI generated the initial abstract shapes, the raw output lacked soul, structural balance, and usable typography. I stepped in as the director—stripping out the cold machine layout, manually rebuilding the geometric logo grid in Illustrator, and pairing it with a high-prestige typography system to create real emotional connection.
From there, I brought the identity to life using Envato Elements for cinematic stock B-roll, realistic mockups, and layered sound design.
AI is the spark, but human taste is the fire. 🔥

For the #envatochallenge, I wanted to put the "Human by Design" philosophy to the test by creating a complete premium brand identity for House of Racky.

For the Contra x Envato Challenge, 'Human by Design', we built a brand identity and animated a promo video for 'Olo', an accessible crypto-trading platform.
To us, the core of this challenge wasn't about creating more content with AI, but about maintaining one clear creative direction. When drawing from a massive library of separate AI generations, stock footage, fonts, and music, a project can easily turn into a disjointed visual mess. Envato served as our entire toolkit - from AI-generated audio and assets to stock templates and typography.
But every asset still had to answer one crucial question: 'Does this truly feel like Olo'? Guided by the brand promise of making crypto trading accessible for everyone, everywhere, human instinct drove the entire creative process:
1. Curating over generating: Rejecting raw AI outputs that felt flat or out of context and ruthlessly filtering for what actually worked.
2. Building a visual identity: Applying custom effects to transform generic stock footage into a unified aesthetic.
3. Directing the flow: Motion design, precise typography, and timing every single movement to the rhythm of the music in After Effects. Envato Stock and AI tools dramatically accelerate the build process, but it’s the human creator who infuses the soul. It provides the ingredients, but art direction, taste, and instinct define the quality of the final result.
