Turning a 13-year-old ERP into a more connected enterprise experience.
Enterprise software isn't always complicated because of what it does. Sometimes, it's complicated because of how it has evolved over time.
I worked on redesigning FaME ERP, a legacy facility management system used to manage employees, attendance, payroll, client operations and reporting.
The challenge wasn't just making the interface look modern. It was simplifying interconnected workflows while working within existing backend constraints and real operational requirements.
Some of the key improvements:
Consolidated 3 modules into 1 unified experience.
Simplified employee onboarding from 11 steps to 7.
Simplified client onboarding from 6 steps to 3.
Connected attendance, payroll and invoicing workflows.
Reduced manual cross-referencing across operational processes.
From employee management to attendance dashboards and payroll reporting, the goal was to make everyday operations more intuitive and efficient.
Here's a glimpse of the redesigned FaME ERP experience.
Good enterprise design isn't just about better screens. It's about making complex work simpler.
