CASA CENDRA — A kiln booking system that understands ceramics before accepting a firing
Business: Casa Cendra, a fictional one-person community kiln studio in Valencia.
Problem solved: Casa Cendra turns incomplete pottery-firing enquiries into compatibility-checked, capacity-aware bookings while routing only unsafe or uncertain work to the solo owner.
A pottery firing cannot safely begin with an ordinary calendar. The owner first needs the clay, glaze, dryness, temperature, dimensions, quantity and deadline. What looks like a simple “Can I book?” becomes a long technical conversation.
I built Casa Cendra to replace that message thread with one guided workflow.
Kiln Fitprint produces three honest outcomes:
• Ready work moves to compatible kiln capacity and scheduling.
• Uncertain work enters a focused owner-review queue.
• Unsafe work is blocked with a clear reason and corrective action.
Customers receive a Firing Passport with their reference, kiln rhythm, preparation requirements, reminder plan and self-service management. They can reschedule, cancel or request an earlier run without starting another conversation.
The owner gets an operations cockpit for exceptions, upcoming kiln work, compatibility details and released-capacity recovery. Simulated reminders and waitlist offers are clearly labelled; the prototype never pretends an external message was delivered.
Before Casa Cendra, every firing begins as manual technical back-and-forth. After Casa Cendra, safe work reaches a valid booking and only uncertain work reaches the owner.
Built entirely in Lovable for the Built for Small Business Challenge.
Bonus: a short process walkthrough of how Casa Cendra was built.
It covers the brief, why kiln booking isn't ordinary scheduling, the eight build phases, the deterministic compatibility rules behind the Kiln Fitprint, and the owner-side cancellation recovery loop.
Every AI product apologizes for the wait. I designed the wait instead.
Latency: identity, interactive site and campaign built on Ma, the space that gives a thing its shape. The headline breathes in weight until the answer lands.
This is my biggest client success story of my carreer.
It's hard to capture 3+ years of work into a single use case page.
Though I gave it a try (it's never perfect 😉)
Read the use case here and let me know what you think of the work. Thanks!🤙🏻
Distilling three years of multidisciplinary work into one use case page is the real craft here, Tim. Long-term client relationships are the best portfolio proof there is. Congrats on the DeFi brand journey.
