Day 8: This is insane.
I think I'm falling in love with this project.
It's becoming my first child. So many people, so many stories, from across the world, and I don't know a single one of them. But one question, what memory do you have at a place that closed down? Apparently unlocks something in people that I didn't know was possible.
I posted to Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington DC today. I'm sat here hunched over my laptop, smiling. I even cried at one comment. I'm not going to share it, it's not mine to share, but it made the whole thing feel completely worth it.
On the dev side: 70 new places added today, nearly 200 in the archive now! Map position caching shipped too, you'll never lose your place on the map when switching views or navigating to an entry and back. Small thing, big difference. People are also submitting places that are still here. Still Here layer I built but haven't pushed at all and it's finding its own audience.

REVVERA — A Living Emotional Landscape
Most digital experiences are designed to help us complete tasks. They optimize for speed, efficiency, and outcomes.
REVVERA explores a different question:
Can a digital interaction create an emotional memory instead of simply accomplishing a goal?
REVVERA is an interactive emotional landscape where users move through a sequence of evolving states — from curiosity and uncertainty to trust, belonging, formation, and integration. Throughout the journey, a responsive companion observes, adapts, and subtly reacts to the user's presence, creating a feeling of connection rather than instruction.
Instead of focusing on productivity, REVVERA focuses on atmosphere, emotion, and reflection. The experience is designed as a living system where movement, presence, sound, and interaction work together to shape the journey.
At the end of the experience, the landscape condenses into a personalized artifact — a visual memory generated from the traces of the user's journey. The artifact acts as a keepsake, preserving a moment of interaction that can be saved, revisited, and remembered.
Built using Figma Make, REVVERA explores how digital experiences can move beyond utility and become spaces for emotional connection, memory, and meaning.
