I think I'm falling in love with this project.
It's becoming my first child. So many people, so many stories, from across the world, and I don't know a single one of them. But one question, what memory do you have at a place that closed down? Apparently unlocks something in people that I didn't know was possible.
I posted to Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington DC today. I'm sat here hunched over my laptop, smiling. I even cried at one comment. I'm not going to share it, it's not mine to share, but it made the whole thing feel completely worth it.
On the dev side: 70 new places added today, nearly 200 in the archive now! Map position caching shipped too, you'll never lose your place on the map when switching views or navigating to an entry and back. Small thing, big difference. People are also submitting places that are still here. Still Here layer I built but haven't pushed at all and it's finding its own audience.
