A thought after reading Contra Labs’ Creative Intelligence 2026 report:
The more I work with AI video, the less I think the hard part is generating a beautiful shot. The hard part is directing a full piece that still feels coherent after feedback, revisions, and all the small production decisions in between.
I’ve learned that clients aren’t really hiring someone just to write prompts. They’re hiring someone to make choices: what belongs in the story, what needs to stay consistent, what should be regenerated, and what is already good enough to move forward.
AI can speed up production, but taste, restraint, and clear direction are still the parts that hold the work together.
For anyone working with AI video right now, where does your process usually get difficult: consistency, revisions, or turning a good-looking idea into a finished piece? Curious..
