SEO + AI Visibility Assistant (Semrush / Webflow / ChatGPT)

Location: Remote (Philippines, Argentina, or Mexico preferred) Hours: 5–8 hours per week, part-time, ongoing Pay: $8–10/hour depending on experience

About the role

Gel is a branding and packaging design agency based in Los Angeles, working with CPG, food and beverage, and beauty brands. We're looking for a part-time SEO and AI visibility assistant to help manage and improve our search presence, both traditional search engines and AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.

This is not a general virtual assistant role. We need someone who already understands SEO fundamentals and can work hands-on inside our tools and our website.

What you'll do

Monitor Semrush for ranking changes, site audit issues, and AI visibility tracking across ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini, and Perplexity.

Review Google Search Console and Analytics to understand what's driving traffic and enquiries.

Go into our Webflow site directly to fix technical issues: broken links, metadata, header structure, image alt text, and other on-page SEO problems.

Publish or update content and case studies as needed.

Send a short weekly summary: what changed, what you fixed, and one clear recommendation for what to prioritize next.

What we're looking for

Hands-on experience with Semrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.

Working knowledge of Webflow, comfortable making edits directly in the platform.

Basic fluency with ChatGPT, Claude and AI visibility concepts.

Someone who can look at data and form an opinion, not just execute instructions. We want your recommendations, not just your labor.

Design or visual layout experience in Webflow is a plus, but not required.

Clear written English for weekly reporting.

Paid test for finalists

Before hiring, we'll pay finalists for a two hour test project. You'll be given access to review our current search presence and asked to identify three opportunities for increasing qualified enquiries, and recommend one action we should take first, with your reasoning. We're not looking for the "correct" answer, we're looking for how you think.
