Hi everyone!
For the past 1.5 years I've worked with Lava Vision on Squishy Games, a set of 24 mini-games where I handled character design, Rive animation and game UI. Here are a few screens from the project. You can find the full case study on my Contra profile.

📜 Rules
Crush zombies by hitting them at speed. If you're too slow, they get pushed aside and start biting your car.
Know your zombies:
Walkers are slow, worth 100 points.
Runners are fast, worth 150 points.
Brutes are huge and only go down if you hit them at full speed, but they're worth 400 points.
Build combos: crush zombies in quick succession to multiply your points, up to ×10.
Watch your health: bites and crashes into buildings damage the car. At zero health, your car is wrecked and the game is over.
🩹 Med kits repair your car by 30% of its health.
🔋 Batteries give you a 10-second shield. The car takes no damage, and every zombie that touches the shield is crushed, brutes included.
Waves: a new wave starts every 40 seconds, with more zombies, more runners, and more brutes.
Use the minimap in the corner to find pickups: red dots are med kits, blue dots are batteries.

No instructions. No hints. Nothing will tell you what to press. Just a cozy haunted room full of secrets, waiting to be poked at your own pace.

FEATURES USED: Rive CLI + GPU Canvas (both) 🖥️ Rive CLI The entire scene was built from the terminal with the Rive CLI and Claude Code as my coding agent, writing the scene in RML with a live preview.
I worked in stages: layout first, then one interaction at a time, iterating by feel on every timing and effect.
✨ GPU Canvas (WGSL shaders) Custom shaders power the animated fireplace, the rippling portrait transformation and the twinkling stars in the landscape painting. ⚙️ Also used: State Machines (every hover and click interaction), Data Binding (a view model links the systems together, so lighting the fire warms the room, deepens the shadows and scares away the wall eyes), Scripting (looping background music with a mute toggle) and Audio.
🎨 Human Touch I art-directed the whole room: generated a concept, then cut, cleaned and composited every piece of art by hand. I made the calls on what stayed and what went. A bandage whip, a "Happy Halloween" garland and a spider web were all built and cut because they crowded the scene. I finished it in the Rive Editor, adding shadows by hand so every object sits in the room. The music was picked to feel playful-haunted, not scary, so it's something you'd actually want to leave running.

What I built & why
I built PawRoute, a smart booking and automation experience for a fictional solo mobile dog groomer, Maya, based in Austin, Texas.
I chose mobile dog grooming because booking isn't as simple as finding an empty calendar slot. Every new inquiry can require the owner to check the customer's location, understand the dog’s needs, recommend a service, calculate pricing, find a time that works with the driving route, confirm the appointment, send reminders, and handle cancellations.
I wanted to answer one question:
How can I turn “Can I book?” into “You’re booked” with as little work from the business owner as possible?
So I designed PawRoute around a simple 3-step customer booking experience. Customers provide their location and dog details, receive a recommended service with clear pricing, and choose from available appointment times.
I also created Best Route Match, which prioritizes appointments when Maya is already working nearby instead of treating every available time equally.
Behind the customer experience, PawRoute handles the repetitive work: booking confirmations, reminders, customer information, route updates, rescheduling, and automation activity.
I also designed an owner dashboard where Maya can see appointments, customers, her driving schedule, and what PawRoute has automated.
Finally, I added a cancellation-recovery workflow. When an appointment opens up, PawRoute can help identify suitable waitlisted customers and refill the slot instead of requiring Maya to manually message people.
The goal wasn't simply to build another booking website. It was to design a system where the customer sees simplicity while the complexity is handled behind the scenes.
