Happy to share my #ConfigMakeathon submission ☕️
A boutique coffee estate that doesn't exist — built brand-first. Estancia Cafetera lives in the volcanic highlands of Tepoztlán. Ten rooms, no two alike. The brief I set myself: design the brand first, let the site be downstream of it.
The direction: "volcanic restraint." The real work was the system underneath:
🎨 A design system, not a mood board — 126 variables, light/dark, token-bound components, WCAG AA clean. 🏗️ Composer, then director — I authored the signature 20% (voice, palette, type); AI productionized the rest. 🌋 A site downstream of the system — change a token, the page moves.
Design isn't decoration here — it's the strategy.
