One problem. Two design directions. Which would you choose?
For AEGIS / 001.05 . Traffic Operations, we explored two approaches to the same challenge: helping city operators understand congestion, incidents and network-wide disruptions without overwhelming them with information.
Both solve the same operational problem. Different approaches to hierarchy and interaction.
If you were behind the control desk . Option A or Option B?

Layout B. For traffic operations the whole job is parsing live status fast under pressure, and B's cleaner hierarchy gets you there without overload. A looks richer but that density is exactly what you do not want when incidents are stacking up. Function first here.

I loved Option-B. But honestly, if it’s for control desk fellas, Option A will be great choice.
