i started developing framer websites for a $100/mo retainer.
here are the results:
→ 2 new clients
→ MRR = $400/month
→ 3 new inquiries
next steps
→ promote the same offer on newsletter
→ promote the same offer across gumroad, socials
→ start running meta ads
cons:
→ had to say no to those asking for lower than $100/mo
→ a designer i liked blocked me on x because they did not like me offering at such a low rate
→ i am not adding the design upsell to the revenue; just framer
Just wrapped up a new Framer template at Pacts Studio. 🌿
It's called Elena Ward.
After building templates for investment firms and other businesses, I wanted to try something more personal.
Something for the independent consultant who doesn't need a big agency website, just a thoughtful place to introduce themselves, explain their work, and connect with potential clients.
Here's what I built:
✨ 7 designed pages
💼 Reusable service and pricing cards
🎨 A complete design system
🎞️ Smooth motion and editorial layouts
🧠 2 Agent Skills to help with customization
📱 Responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile
The biggest focus was making it feel like a person's practice rather than a generic corporate website.
Really enjoyed building this one.
Would love some feedback from other designers and independent founders.
Just launched: Faro, a luxury travel website template for Framer.
Travel agencies and tour operators do not sell with a checkout. They sell with conversation. So Faro is built around one goal: turn visitors into enquiries.
What makes it work
Cinematic flight-window hero that plays your video as visitors scroll
Enquiry-first pages: every button leads to your contact form, with no cart to set up
Tour packages with pricing cards, a comparison table, add-ons and FAQs
Destination and journey pages with itineraries, highlights and quick facts
What's inside
11 pages, including Home, Destinations, Journeys, About, Contact, Thank You, 404 and legal pages
2 CMS collections (Destinations and Signature Journeys) with sample content
Reusable components, color styles and text styles for fast rebranding
Fully responsive, with a mobile menu, Back button and Back To Top button
SEO-ready structure and a built-in documentation page
Design: deep navy, brass gold, Fraunces and Inter. Calm, premium and easy to edit.
The airplane window opening on the hero says travel without a single stock photo, and the gold Start Planning button stays in the nav the whole time. Does that hero animation add noticeable load time on mobile?
Never seen an e-commerce store on @Framer
So I built one for Sensul.
Only because it was the right call for the client. Full CMS control, no developers on standby, just them running their store.
Dawit Woldemariam had a design background, so Framer made sense for him.
The harder challenge was the design.
Inspiration: Basquiat's art style turned into Ethiopian style.
The brief: "Make it artistic without overwhelming the site."
Result: Basquiat art style X Ethiopian literature.
A storefront, nothing like I've ever seen before in other art gallery sites.
Note: The live site has since been discontinued, so the link below goes to the project I designed in Framer if you want to check it out.
Full CMS control with no developer on standby is a strong reason to pick Framer for a store like this. The Basquiat inspired visual direction gives it a personality most ecommerce sites lack.
