Hello! Here is my submission for the Rive Challenge. I decided to use databinding and websockets to enable realtime communication between rive instances. This sort of setup would work really great if you ever wanted to build a physical installation that ran on multiple machines such as large scale conference or concert graphic packages. During this challenge I got to try a bunch of new things. I had used Rive a bit in the past, but never to this level. It was my first time databinding and I even got to play the new scripting abilities. The AI agent was super helpful to get my visualizers started.
All in all this has been a huge effort to get done, but extremely rewarding. Hope you enjoy it! (and sorry for the long video, I ran out of time to make a perfectly scripted and concise edit!)

This is amazing work! I Would like to know more about how you built it in Rive. I'm not familiar with the scripting part.

Thanks! This is a bit messy, but you're welcome to poke around the rive file: https://rive-realtime-databind.vercel.app/rive/dualdevices.rev I built the controller and the display in separate Rive file, but at the last minute I realized that the rive runtime didn't support...
Jonathan's avatar
Oh, you'll need to open that in Rive Early Access because of the scripts.

One of my favorite submissions so far, amazing work and it was very interesting to watch the logic behind it. Also, while watching it, I was wondering if it is possible to add this interaction to a website and let people export these patterns as SVG, PNG, or JPG? 🧠

Man when you think you’ve already seen the top entries in this challenge, another one u missed before pops up and blows you away even more. This is so sick. Not just the visuals, but the engineering and the sync behind it too. Crazy how many cool visual combos you get using only...
