It is Monday and I want to
officially welcome you to a new week!
I hope you rested well over the weekend —
Because this week we are building. 💪
Now —
On Friday I started a series that got a LOT of people talking.
I shared that most coaches are using AI completely wrong.
And the messages I received after that post told me everything.
So many of you said —
"Mary this is exactly what I have been doing."
"I did not even realise I was doing this."
"Please share more."
So today — Part 2.
And this one goes a little deeper.
Because the problem is not just copy pasting from ChatGPT.
The mistakes go further than that.
Here are the specific ways coaches are misusing AI right now:
MISTAKE 1 — Using AI as their voice instead of their tool
They let AI write everything.
Posts. Emails. Course content. DMs.
And then wonder why nothing converts.
Here is the truth:
AI has no lived experience.
It has never coached a burned out executive back to confidence.
It has never felt the specific pain your ideal client carries.
YOU have.
And that is what your audience is actually paying for.
Not perfect sentences.
Your story.
MISTAKE 2 — Using generic prompts and expecting specific results
They open ChatGPT and type —
"Write me a post about coaching."
And get generic. Bland. Forgettable content.
Because generic prompts produce generic output.
Every single time.
The coaches getting real results from AI are giving it context.
Their niche.
Their client's pain.
Their specific story.
Their unique voice.
AI is only as powerful as the information you feed it.
MISTAKE 3 — Skipping the human layer completely
AI gives you a first draft.
Not a final post.
Not a published email.
Not a finished course module.
A first draft.
The human layer —
Your personality.
Your specific insight.
Your real client example.
Your unique perspective —
That is what goes ON TOP of the AI output.
The coaches who skip this step sound like robots.
And robots do not build trust.
And trust is what sells courses.
MISTAKE 4 — Using AI to avoid doing the deep work
This is the most dangerous one.
Some coaches use AI to avoid the hard questions:
Who exactly am I serving?
What is their deepest pain?
What transformation do I actually create?
AI cannot answer those questions for you.
And if you build your content and course on AI generated answers —
You will build something that looks complete —
But connects with nobody.
The coaches winning with AI are not using it to replace their thinking.
They are using it to express their thinking faster.
That is the difference.
Part 3 is coming later this week.
And that is where I give you the exact RIGHT way to use AI —
So your content, your course and your business actually grow.
Stay tuned. 👀
Happy Monday again! 💛
