The lie nobody talks about on LinkedIn.
You know on LinkedIn people say the key to growth is posting consistently, commenting, etc. This might be true, however, the algorithm still heavily favors your content based on the amount of followers you have.
More followers = more reach. Simple as that. And now I'm sure about this, I have reliable data.
The graphic provided is my reach.
As you may see, there was a big spike around 1 month ago. You may be wondering, how did this happen?
Well, the official Canva account commented on my post, meaning that my post got heavily boosted because of that. (they literally have 2 million followers lol)
Rather than its quality, the algorithm favors how many followers you have and how many followers the accounts that comment on your posts have.
Ridiculous, right?

This is a one-off event, but in general new users after 500+ connections get the most grab. After 5k followers the reach gets distributed more with other creators. The shield index report is good source to see what's what.
