I like the light mode

Both versions look great! The light mode feels fresh and premium, while the dark mode adds depth and contrast. I prefer the dark theme because it’s more visually appealing to me.

I find the Dark version of your flight status widget more compelling because the deep, textured purple background creates a sophisticated atmosphere that makes the neon pink progress bar and airplane icon really stand out

If I was to be choosing a default theme - consider the branding. Which one is the most consistent with how you want the product to feel.
Ultimately, you'd make both available for the users in the build product.

😊 I like Dark mode this good because the volume of the data is less. Please don't mind, in design, there is no such thing as right or wrong, so design decisions are taken on user experience, preference, and pain points.
