I'd had this idea in mind for a while, a series of compact, portable modern cabins that could be customizable in different ways to suit different needs. When I came across the Squarespace challenge, it felt like the perfect opportunity to bring the concept to life and build the entire website in Squarespace.
I also wanted to prove that you don't always need custom code to create a premium looking website. The goal was to keep the design clean and minimal, letting the product take center stage. Using Squarespace's latest Fluid Engine features for stacking and animations, I introduced subtle motion and interactive details that make the experience feel more dynamic and engaging.

Proving you don't need custom code for something this premium is the real flex here, and those Fluid Engine stacking animations make the 'Escape, Simplified' hero feel way more alive than a typical Squarespace build. Was recreating that stacking and motion effect the trickiest...
The actual build process in Squarespace is usually pretty straightforward for me. What takes the most time is designing the right layout and thinking through how everything should come together to create the best experience. 🙌

I think B is you and A is Claude. Version B feels super polished and premium with that architectural hero image. Version A is solid, but that massive bold text at the top feels a bit like a typical ai layout choice that needs a human touch to clean up the hierarchy.
tensorwave raised $350m from amd to be the ai cloud that isn't nvidia.
their homepage headline: "the cloud for the next gen of ai." nvidia could run that word for word.
the fix was already on the page. the subhead says "powered by amd instinct." that's the whole company, sitting in small text.
flip it: "the ai cloud built entirely on amd." same facts, best fact on top.
10 second test: if your competitor could run your headline unchanged, you wrote a category label.
The 10 second test is such a useful heuristic — I'm going to steal that for reviewing client headlines. It's wild how often "powered by X" ends up buried as a subhead when it's actually the whole differentiator. Do you run this test on your own portfolio copy too, or mostly for critique content like this?
