I designed this full-wrap paperback cover for Hidden Fire by Rose Mackie. Serving as the culminating fourth installment of the Under Violet Suns series, my objective was to deliver a striking, climactic visual identity that perfectly aligns with the established sci-fi alien romance branding while highlighting the formidable nature of the "alien prince" central to the story.

​Key Design Highlights

​Focal Character Compositing: Anchored the front cover with a commanding, horned male protagonist wielding a broadsword. I integrated rugged costuming details, such as a fur mantle and leather harness, to visually communicate his status as a warrior prince and instantly capture the target romance audience.

​Explosive Cosmic Palette: Shifted the background atmospheric textures to a highly aggressive, fiery orange and red nebula behind the main character, contrasting heavily against the deep, dark blues spanning the spine and back cover to create maximum visual impact.

​Consistent Series Typography: Utilized the franchise's signature metallic, heat-distressed block font for the Hidden Fire title. This ensures strong brand continuity across the entire four-book series, maximizing instant recognition on both physical bookshelves and digital storefronts.

​Print-Ready Wrap Execution: Delivered a complete, industry-standard print layout spanning the front, spine, and back panels. I carefully structured the extensive back cover blurb for effortless readability against the dark cosmic backdrop, seamlessly integrating the author's custom logo and leaving precise spacing for standard barcode placement.
