Day 4/30 of designing one hero section every day. Today: an event landing page for "Glow Nights": an immersive winter light experience in Sydney, headlined by a DJ. Events are a different design problem. You're not selling a product people can evaluate, you're selling a night they have to imagine. So: → Video does the imagining for them. The hero sits on live footage of the light installation, thousands of suspended points of light. No still image gets close to this. → The title stays bone-white and dead simple. When the background is this loud, type has one job: don't compete, just be legible from across the room. → The details bar anchors the bottom like a ticket stub. Date on one side, venue on the other. 4 down, 26 to go.
