Tough choice my friend....I like option A since it has overall harmony between the background and foreground...so overall, A is very nice....option be has a very amazing zoom motion which is also great....However, Option A is my choice.

A, for me, the pixel filter keeps the light source readable while still breaking up the image. dither tends to flatten everything into the same texture regardless of what's actually in the frame.
Same animation, two formats.
Sometimes the idea works just as well in vertical as it does in horizontal. The challenge is making it feel right in both.

Which one wins for you, honestly? I lean horizontal for how the transitions breathe, but the vertical cut feels tighter for a scroll-stopping ad. Nice work either way.
