Taste Test
While designing the task details modal for a Chronic Care Management (CCM) platform, the client requested a built-in task history feature. After exploring multiple design concepts and aligning closely with the engineering team, we narrowed it down to these two final directions.
I prototyped both concepts and shared them with the developers for feasibility and UX review.

A seems fair but you can make it more better by just scaling the background picture a bit and I have seen your designs you can definitely find a way to make it more appealing.

Dark version is way better because the colors works very well together (the blue, black and orange) and the CTA is clear but bright one you can clearly see the huge contact between the blue image and background and that's not the best for user's eye. if you want to use the light...
