I was tuning resistance into the Snooze interaction for my first submission, thinking about how micro-timing changes perception. That made me realize we simulate visual feedback constantly, but we never simulate material behavior. At that moment, sitting on my bed...

This is such a brilliant gap to fill! We've seen digital sight and sound perfected but touch has always been the missing sense in e-commerce. A "press to feel" interaction that simulates compression and resistance is genuinely the future of online shopping!

That gap was exactly what caught my attention. Mattresses are just the starting point. The idea isn’t about beds, it’s about making material behavior interactive. Anything you’d normally need to touch before trusting could eventually respond this way.

Great question.
I tuned resistance based on how each material behaves. Compression slows as it deepens, so it feels like material giving way, but it responds instantly to input. The timing and rebound change depending on the material.

No frameworks. No shortcuts. Just structure, spacing, and intentional design.
The goal wasn’t to make something flashy.
It was to create a portfolio that feels effortless to use and lets the work speak immediately.
A few things I focused on:
• Clean visual hierarchy so nothing competes for attention
• Thoughtful spacing and typography to guide the eye
• Performance — fast, lightweight, no unnecessary bloat
• A structure that reflects real product thinking, not just visuals
Sometimes the best design is the one you don’t notice… because everything just makes sense.
