Is this a hero section?
Yes, this is the hero section / landing page.
The updated one has a lot of details fighting for attention on the hero

Updated Version for me. The blue ambient glow gives it more visual depth and the feature callouts below the headline actually help communicate value right away. The Original is cleaner but this is a SaaS product, you want people to see what it does.
