Brand & packaging design for Cocoatease! 🍫

A chocolate company at heart, Cocoatease! is a dessert brand that aims to “tease your palette”. This unofficial tagline prompted the idea of a button for the logo…a visual way of saying “push for a treat”.

While a logo is usually designed first, the packaging was conceptualised first to meet growing demand. That pushed us (wink wink) to create a bunch of colour variations to match it.

Meet Nasam-it Farm, a family cacao farm in the Philippines, planted in 1960 by a grandfather who was told tobacco would pay better. His granddaughter brought the grove back as a bean-to-bar brand. Nasam-it is Ilocano for "sweet." The problem: Mimi spends her days fermenting, drying, and roasting, not on her phone 24/7, so inquiries go unanswered. Every missed message is a lost visit, and lost income for the farmers who tend the farm.
So I designed and built a booking experience in that answers for her. Guests explore the farm in 3D, see what's happening this season, and choose a farm tour, a bean-to-bar workshop, or a volunteer day. The price updates as the group grows, a 30% deposit holds the date, and they're confirmed without a single message. By the time Mimi is back from the grove, the bookings are already waiting.
I started with her, not the screens: her schedule, her signal, the quirks of a real farm (harvest-only volunteer days, group sizes, deposits to stop no-shows). The look comes from the farm itself, with cacao-pod maroon, banana-leaf green, and copy that sounds like a place rather than a platform.

Does a fintech brand actually need to look like fintech?
We don’t think it does.
For KRON, we wanted to move away from the visual language you’d normally associate with finance.
No banking blue.
No obvious financial symbols.
No trying to scream “AI.”
Instead, we started with one idea:
What if wealth had depth?
That led us toward a much more spatial identity built around form, movement, architecture, and dimension.
Even the K started becoming less of a letter and more of a structure we could build around.
Still exploring how far this system can go.
Would you know this was a fintech brand without being told?
And more importantly, does it need to?

When reviewing a studio portfolio, look past the final screenshots. Ask what the problem was and what changed between first concept and shipped version. The work shows what they can present. The process shows what they can solve.
