Apple makes simple look effortless.
There’s a lot of design work behind that feeling.
In its “Principles of great design” session, Apple explains how familiar patterns help people predict what happens next, and how simplicity means removing what gets in the way of a product’s purpose.
My takeaway for a brand’s website:
→ Give each section a clear job. Make the main message easy to spot. → Keep interactions familiar. A button should do what people expect. → Make every detail belong. Type, spacing, imagery and motion should feel like one system. → Adapt to the context. A mobile experience deserves its own considered layout. → Simplify with care. Keep the information people need to make a decision.
That’s where a designer adds value: turning a complex offer into an experience that feels clear, coherent and natural to use.
The goal is to bring that level of intention to your own brand, with a personality people can recognise as yours.
Planning a website refresh? Let’s make every detail earn its place.
