Amazon Growth Case Study | From Low Organic Sales to $2.28M+ in Product Sales
One of the biggest mistakes I see on Amazon is trying to scale advertising before fixing the foundation.
In this account, the objective wasn't simply to “run PPC.” The real goal was to build a sustainable sales engine by combining SEO, PPC, conversion optimization, listing improvements, and continuous performance analysis.
📊 Performance shown in the dashboard: • 37,526 total order items • 40,851 units ordered • $2,281,139.08 in ordered product sales • $60.79 average sales per order item
The Problem
The account had an opportunity to generate significantly more sales, but organic visibility and sales were not reaching their potential.
Instead of increasing ad spend blindly, I approached the account from A–Z.
What I Managed
1. Amazon SEO & Keyword Strategy • Researched high-intent and relevant search terms • Improved keyword indexing and ranking opportunities • Optimized titles, bullets, backend search terms and product content • Monitored keyword movement and competitor positioning
2. PPC & Advertising Strategy • Structured campaigns around product, keyword and customer intent • Separated discovery from high-performing conversion campaigns • Continuously reviewed search-term performance • Reduced wasted spend by identifying irrelevant/low-value traffic • Managed bids according to conversion, CPC, profitability and sales potential
3. CPC Management CPC wasn't treated as an isolated metric.
I evaluated CPC together with CTR, conversion rate, sales, ACoS/TACoS and keyword intent before making bid decisions.
The goal was simple: Buy the right traffic—not just more traffic.
4. Conversion Rate Optimization More clicks don't matter if the listing doesn't convert.
I focused on: • Main image & visual presentation • Title and bullet-point clarity • Product benefits and differentiation • Pricing competitiveness • Reviews and customer objections • Search intent → listing relevance
5. Organic + Paid Growth The strategy was to use advertising as an accelerator while improving organic visibility.
Paid traffic helped generate additional sales and keyword data, while SEO and listing optimization worked toward stronger organic performance.
That created a cycle:
Better Listing → Better CTR → Better Conversion → More Sales → More Data → Better PPC → Stronger Organic Opportunity
The Bigger Lesson
Amazon growth isn't one metric.
It's the relationship between:
Traffic + CTR + CPC + Conversion Rate + ACoS + TACoS + Organic Ranking + Profitability.
When these are managed together, advertising becomes more than an expense—it becomes a growth system.
