I've been exploring a new atmospheric HTML portfolio concept lately, for visual artists with a distinct visual sensibility — painters, photographers, graphic designers, etc.
I'm experimenting with how a hero section can communicate an artist's visual world through a small set of abstract visual cues, while still feeling clear and usable as a website.
The first layout puts the “window” motif right at the center, while the second feels more open and airy — and a little closer to a contemporary web layout.
Which one do you prefer: symmetrical🪟️ or asymmetrical🌨️?
