Colifa is a self-initiated branding concept for a young Argentine criolla wine, created to keep my creativity in motion. It’s my way of designing what I feel when I’m with my people: loud, funny, easy, and open to everyone at the table.
The stacked CO-LI-FA in bubbly letters and the scribble creature do sell loud, funny and easy at the table. My pushback: the scribble sits right over the A, so the name is the first thing that gets tangled. Is the label meant to be read from a shelf, or is the energy of the pack...
I wanted the brand to stand out in store, so I went for a high contrast and electric color palette.
I think the type represents the vibe I was trying to create, but still there`s a lot of room for improvement.
I`m enjoying fast design combined with learning about Argentinian wine 😊
The scribbly hand-drawn tangle against those soft, bubbly COLIFA letterforms gives the label a loud-but-friendly table energy. Was the texture in the background mostly Firefly, or did you draw it by hand in Illustrator?
I draw logos by hand, then build everything around them: the brand, the website, the store. Lately I also make product films and ads with AI.
Recent work: an RY monogram and site for a Koreatown law firm, a winged W for a defense firm, and my family's golf eyewear brand, from the mascot to Shopify.

The logo-led system reads tight because the wordmark sits clean in the negative space instead of fighting the emblem — when a brand has that kind of restraint, the Shopify store usually carries the same hierarchy into the product grid and checkout without inventing new rules....
KON is a denim and streetwear label for people who live in hip hop and care how things are made. For Inktober’s final stretch, I took its hand mark through four ink passes, from a fine line to a heavy stroke to a dry brush. Each one sits on the last, the way cloth gets dipped again and again until the color holds.
Swipe to see the passes, then the mark out in the world on denim.
The full KON case study is coming soon.
