What if indigo is just ink that got patient?
KON is a denim and streetwear label for people who live in hip hop and care how things are made. For Inktober’s final stretch, I took its hand mark through four ink passes, from a fine line to a heavy stroke to a dry brush. Each one sits on the last, the way cloth gets dipped again and again until the color holds.
Swipe to see the passes, then the mark out in the world on denim.
The full KON case study is coming soon.

The step I keep repeating is shrinking the mark to its smallest believable size and redrawing until the main gesture still survives. The dry brush pass is the bold one here, so I'm curious how it holds up once it's stitched or printed on a small hangtag.

How it survive stitched or on small physicals is an open question honestly! Will do a few tests and keep you posted!

What a line - "indigo is just ink that got patient" - that's poetry! Love the concept of taking KON's hand mark through 4 ink passes. Perfect connection between indigo dyeing and Inktober. The denim + streetwear vibe is so authentic!

Love the idea of the mark evolving through ink passes. The dry brush version feels the most like denim to me, worn in and real.

awesome

For me it's the edit. The shots come fast now; what I repeat is re-cutting the same few seconds until one hold lands at the right length. Your four passes read the same way, one mark getting heavier instead of four new ideas.
