Color Exploration for Lucra
Color is never chosen because it "looks nice."
Every palette gets tested against the same questions: does it hold up at scale, does it work in both light and dark contexts, does it feel distinct from the category's default colors, does it carry the right energy for every surface it needs to live on — a slide deck, a product screen, a billboard.

I opened Coca-Cola's refresh expecting to spend my time comparing the before and after.
Instead, I kept wondering what the conversation inside the room must've been.
Because this doesn't feel like a brand trying to reinvent itself.
It feels like a brand looking at everything people already associate with Coca-Cola and deciding to trust those things even more.
The ribbon is more prominent. The script has more presence. The whole system feels cleaner. But NONE of those decisions are trying to make Coca-Cola feel new.
If anything, they're trying to make it feel even more familiar.
I think that's what I enjoyed most about this refresh.
There's a lot of discipline in resisting the urge to add another idea simply because you can.
At some point, the job stops being about creating new brand assets and becomes about protecting the ones that have already earned their place in people's minds.
Maybe that's the difference between a growing brand and an iconic one.
One is still searching for its identity.
The other already knows it.
The distinction you make between protecting vs reinventing is brilliant. This feels like the strategy every legendary brand should consider. Do you think this approach would work differently for newer brands still building their identity?
Skincare branding has one job: make the product feel like it belongs on a shelf someone actually aspires to own.
Serix was built around that standard. A crown mark that communicates premium without being precious. A wordmark bold enough to own a bottle, a social post, and a storefront simultaneously. And a color system that refuses to pick just one mood coral texture, lime green energy, navy depth, and gold luxury all living inside the same identity without contradiction.
"Because your skin deserves the best." "Luxury care, effortless glow." "The secret to timeless beauty." The brand voice was written alongside the visual system, with each line considered as the palette it sits on.
From product packaging to Instagram content, every touchpoint was designed to feel consistent without feeling repetitive. That's the real test of a brand system.
Exquisite. Sophisticated. Premium. Serene. The keyword tags say it best.
