Recently explored a Behavioral Analytics dataset as part of my UX Research at Scale learning journey, and it was interesting to see how user behavior data can reveal actual UX friction points.
Some key insights identified from the analysis:
Returning users showed higher engagement and conversion compared to new users — indicating possible onboarding or first-time user experience gaps.
Mobile users had lower engagement and higher bounce rates, highlighting the importance of optimizing responsive experiences and reducing interaction friction on smaller screens.
Certain landing pages showed very high bounce rates and low continuation rates, suggesting issues related to content clarity, navigation, or CTA visibility.
One of my biggest learnings from this exercise: Behavioral analytics doesn’t just show numbers — it helps uncover patterns behind user behavior and supports more informed UX decisions.
This activity also helped me better understand: ✔ Funnel analysis ✔ Bounce rate interpretation ✔ User journey friction points ✔ Data-driven UX thinking ✔ Translating analytics into actionable design recommendations
