Here is the crazy story behind my video! 🐕🚀
When I sat down to create this project, I asked myself: 'What actually dominates 99% of my phone’s storage?' The answer was obvious: my dog, Snow, and our mandatory every-single-morning walk.
So, I decided to blend my daily reality with pure sci-fi chaos.
Ciro is a real bulldog who lives in my neighborhood. He actually exists, and let's just say... Snow absolutely hates him. They are sworn enemies. I took this real-life neighborhood drama and turned it into a cyberpunk thriller, using Renoise AI to generate all the clips.
As a non-expert, I was amazed by Renoise! With just a few simple prompts, I managed to get incredible results. The FacePss tool is fantastic—it keeps the character consistency perfectly across the scenes. Plus, the canvas is super easy and intuitive to use. I had so much fun playing around with it!
To be honest, I wasn't even sure if I should participate at first because I’m definitely not a pro video editor! But then I thought: the best part of these challenges isn't just about winning, it's about having fun and maybe making someone laugh.

Wow, Such a cool mascot! Love Lil A
This is our team submission (Me, Megg, and Anna) to the Rive x Contra Interactive Character Animation Challenge. It’s a tamagotchi inspired experience based off of Moomin, Megg’s american bully dog. Moomin isn’t my dog but I’ve played with him, hand fed him, and took turns in potty training him. And boy does potty training a puppy sure does take a lot of patience, and I mean a LOT. Moomin’s a good boy, sometimes a naughty boy, and sometimes a bad boy. I’m not a dog person and the experience has been a little bit frustrating (especially when Moomin refuses to listen 🙄), but also rewarding, and overall sparks joy. And that’s the goal of this Rive app, to share that whole experience with Moomin to anyone who plays around with the app. We tried to capture Moomin’s mannerisms when he eats, when you pat him, and he really does flop to the ground when he refuses to listen. We wanted to make the digital Moomin feel as alive as possible. And if we’ve done our jobs well, we hope you’ll be so engaged that you forget it’s an app, and feel like he’s a real digital pet.
I’m not sure if we can win the challenge because there are a lot of amazing entries (but hopefully we do, and Moomin gets a share, of course, if we win) but even if we don’t, if we’re able to make people playing with the app feel a spark of joy in a world that feels uncertain as ever, then I feel like we’ve already won.

We’ve made this specifically for the challenge, so we didn’t have the time to optimize for a mobile experience. This is only optimized for the desktop experience.

BRAYD: The Braided Focus Flame 🔥
BRAYD is an original mascot created for BURN THE TASK, a fictional productivity ritual brand built around focus, completion, and quiet discipline.
Rather than designing a cute candle character, I built a full mascot system around one clear visual behavior: focused time burns into completion. BRAYD is a braided wick core inside a faceted wax body. As a task progresses, the wick burns down, the wax form changes through clear stages, and the final braided strand becomes a checkmark.
The mascot was designed to stay recognizable across every touchpoint, from the custom wordmark and hero poster to the sticker system, focus ritual packaging, burn sequence, and consistency board. Every asset uses the same visual DNA: the same braided wick, the same faceted wax body, the same angular flame, and the same final checkmark.
This project explores how a single mascot can become the face of a fictional productivity world by turning an abstract idea, focus, into a visual ritual.
Character Brief
Name: BRAYD
Role: The Braided Focus Flame
Personality: quiet, intense, disciplined, stubborn, focused, and encouraging without being soft.
BRAYD does not rush you and does not distract you. He simply burns with you until the task is done. His braided wick represents focused effort, his faceted wax body represents pressure and progress, and his final checkmark represents completion earned through attention.

The BRAYD system includes a custom name logo, hero poster, sticker pack, focus ritual packaging, burn to checkmark sequence, and a final consistency board showing the mascot across multiple moments and touchpoints.
