World Cup Art - By Me !! This my re-edition of Geoff Lowe's World Cup Photography of the Senegal Vs France Match - Overlayed with a Frame I generated by the OG Windows Media Player Music Visualizer , which I then edited in Luminar NEO - & then overlaid the WC shots !

Pulling a frame from the visualizer and then rebuilding the grain, luminosity, and depth yourself explains why it feels authored. Looking forward to the next pieces.
Using an old Windows Media Player visualizer as a texture source is such an unexpected move, and it actually reads like intentional film grain here. Did you screen-record the visualizer live or export frames from it?

The film grain , texture & luminosity along with the color depth - were all done by me in luminar neo ! To get the frame from the visualizer , I paused the player on a select frame that caught my eye & clipped the scene. I am making so much more , so please stay tuned.

The best campaigns make you wish you were there.
That's why flash photography is everywhere right now.
Hard shadows, blown highlights, awkward crops...
The photos don't feel like someone spent six hours art directing every detail (even though they probably did). They feel like someone grabbed a camera because they didn't want the night to end.
Traditional campaigns ask us to look at a product. Direct flash makes us feel like we accidentally walked into the middle of a great night, where the product just happens to be part of the memory.
It feels like brands are shifting from selling aspiration to creating a sense of belonging.
Is this just another visual trend, or is it a sign of a bigger cultural shift?
