Running the wordmark oversized and cropped off the edge is a bet on recognition, and it only starts paying after people have met the full lockup a few times, which puts unusual weight on the first year of applications. How are you sequencing that for them, uncropped everywhere until it sticks?

That’s exactly the thinking.
I wouldn’t lead with the cropped wordmark everywhere initially. The full lockup would establish recognition across the first phase of applications, while the oversized crop acts as a secondary expression.
