Exploring tensions from my first entry for the Flora Museum Challenge. Sometime AI is only so much a short cut to help bring out your vision but was interesting comparing results.
For the on the building concept I started working with this building engraving came the closet to what I was envisioning.
Inspired in part by murals and other older architecture or art work/features on older buildings next to more modern building in downtown Chicago.

The Lover’s Eye was never just a portrait. It was a portrait of a gaze. The art of looking back.
For the #FLORAMuseumChallenge, I chose the 19th-century Lover’s Eye Bracelet, an intimate object featuring a miniature of a loved one’s eye. Pieces like these were worn close to the body so the wearer could imagine their beloved’s gaze resting upon them 👁️
That idea became my creative starting point: what if the gaze that we see in art could be returned?
So I imagined a woman walking through present-day New York wearing the bracelet. As we get closer to the miniature, we find "Ivy" actually looking out from her own time. The person preserved inside the object is suddenly looking back at us, creating a fleeting exchange between past and present.
The engraved name “Ivy” on the back of the actual bracelet became a small but meaningful detail that helped me imagine the story behind the object.
And so I wanted to create something that felt like a visual poem 💛
A gaze captured centuries ago, finding its way back to another pair of eyes.

THE ANIMAL THAT KNEW
What if the prey remembers every moment that came before the attack?
Inspired by Antoine-Louis Barye’s Tiger Surprising an Antelope from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, I reimagined the sculpture as a meditation on memory and instinct. The tiger exists in one moment, while faint photographic traces of the antelope appear behind it, suggesting the memories of the moments that came before.
I kept the original sculpture physically intact and changed its meaning through time: the bronze becomes a record of what the prey remembers.

Brilliant Concept. I love this
Direction 1 grabs immediate emotion, but Direction 2 hits that sweet spot for technical buyers who want to inspect build quality before committing. Hard choice, but 2 feels like it would convert higher for an audio enthusiast product!
