The one with more depth feels much more satisfying and clickable.
The gradient orbs are the only saturated color on an otherwise cream, paper-like page — that contrast is doing the branding work here. Flip to dark and the orbs would pop harder, but you'd lose the warm, tactile feel the cream base gives the whole layout.
