I found the Cloud Atlas a few days ago and got a little obsessed, so I ended up building this in Framer to play around with it
The original is the 1930 International Atlas of Clouds and States of the Sky It pairs early cloud photography with hand-drawn diagrams, annotations and classifications.
It feels very technical, but also strangely playful and beautiful. I wanted to preserve that character while making the archive easier and more fun to explore.
The atlas concept turns archival material into something you can actually explore—the restrained canvas and scattered reference points give the content a calm, museum-like rhythm.
