The Reading Room is a social media content concept created around literature, thoughtful conversation, and the intimate atmosphere of an independent bookstore.
The creative direction focuses on making a literary podcast feel warm, contemporary, and genuinely human. Rather than using an overly polished studio aesthetic, I developed the visual series around natural editorial photography, candid expressions, soft window light, warm bookstore tones, books, handwritten notes, coffee, and subtle everyday details. The result is a visual identity that feels authentic while remaining refined enough for a professional podcast campaign.
For the social content system, I created a consistent series of campaign visuals featuring the same hosts, environment, typography, and overall art direction. Each piece captures a different moment from the conversation — from discussing a passage and exchanging ideas to relaxed interactions between the host and guest.
The project also extends the static visual direction into short-form video. Natural gestures, conversational movement, subtle camera motion, and carefully selected background music help the content feel like a real moment from a recorded literary discussion rather than a staged promotional piece.
The objective was to demonstrate how one podcast concept can become a cohesive social media campaign while maintaining a recognizable visual language across both static and motion content .
