What if a website could make you feel like you've stepped into another world before you even scroll?
That's the direction I explored with CLASH — a cinematic gaming and esports concept built around competition, strategy, and immersive storytelling.
The challenge
Create a digital experience that captures the intensity of gaming culture while giving visitors a clear path to explore events, discover opportunities, and get involved.
The approach
I went with a dark, cinematic visual direction, combining dramatic character imagery, oversized typography, deep navy backgrounds, and fiery red accents to create a sense of tension and energy.
The solution
The experience brings together:
A cinematic hero section that establishes the brand's identity.
A bold brand statement built around the idea that discipline is a weapon.
A progression-inspired section that introduces the concept's three stages.
A opportunities board showcasing creative and performance-focused roles.
An events section highlighting tournaments and gaming experiences.
A strong closing CTA that encourages visitors to get involved.
The thinking behind the design
I wanted the interface to feel like part of the gaming experience, not just a page describing it. The visual hierarchy, imagery, and transitions between sections help build atmosphere while keeping the content structured.
This is a concept build, but the goal is real: create digital experiences that combine strong visual identities with purposeful user journeys.
While working on the homepage for Halfspace, a website design and SEO agency, I explored two different hero visuals for the same headline and layout. Same message, same structure, just a different visual metaphor and mood.
Option 1 - Rocket Launch. Bold, literal, and energetic, visually reinforcing the "launch your business" message with motion and fire.
Option 2 - Glass Cube. Abstract, sleek, and premium, giving a more refined, tech-forward feel without relying on a literal metaphor.
Would love your honest UX/UI take, which direction feels more impactful, memorable, and aligned with a web design/SEO brand, and why?
