š One detail I forgot to mention in my previous post.
The name Tetragon comes from the Greek word tetragonon, meaning quadrilateral or four-sided shape.
That's one of the reasons I chose Mr. Square as the app's mascot. A square is one of the most recognizable geometric shapes, making it a natural fit for a math-focused app. The name and the character both come from the same world of geometry, helping create a consistent identity for Tetragon.

I built an assistant character in Rive that's wired into the product's actual state ā not a loop on top of the UI, but a face that responds in real time. It blinks and breathes while idle, leans in the moment you start typing, jumps when the answer lands and winces when something goes wrong.
Every expression is driven by data binding, so the character mirrors what the assistant is actually doing ā part of the product, not a sticker on top of it.

š Meet Mr. Square!
Mr. Square is the guide and mascot of Tetragon, an educational app designed to make mathematics and physics more engaging through gamification and interactive learning.
The goal was to create a character that motivates students, celebrates their progress, and makes learning feel like an adventure rather than a task.
Building and animating Mr. Square has been a fun journey, and I'm excited to continue bringing him to life as Tetragon grows.

Very often, clients ask me to create an interactive mascot for their digital product.
So, to take part in the #characterchallenge, I created a character who isnāt shy about showing his emotions. I decided to approach this with a sense of humor, so I used the old Addams Family movies as references.
Ruby (thatās what I named him) can be happy, sad, or even angry - all controlled via inputs.
The concept, character design, and animations - everything was created in Rive.
