The translucent membrane quality is really convincing here. Getting that kind of subsurface scattering without it looking overcooked is tricky in Blender. Did you use geometry nodes for the cell division simulation or was the growth hand-keyed?
Thanks! The growth wasn't generated with Geometry Nodes in this case. Most of the motion was animated manually and then refined through shading, lighting, and rendering. Really appreciate the feedback on the subsurface effect π

This looks really satisfying visually. I like how the glass-like cell effect feels clean, detailed, and almost futuristic without being too heavy. The lighting and material work make it feel very polished, like a small 3D experiment that could easily turn into a bigger visual system.

Envato gave me hero images, background texture, and animated video. But none of it works on its own. Someone still has to make the calls.
Human by Design: AI got me fast raw material. Making it feel like this bar took real decisions - recoloring and chroma-keying a stock video before animating, chasing a grimy texture over a clean AI render, picking one generated scene out of several for its energy - then building the composition and type myself.

Guitar knobs turning, jittered depth of field, rendered in Eevee with raytracing on. Trying to see how close I can get to that Cycles-style DOF without the Cycles wait times.
This test landed way closer than expected; good sign for faster turnarounds on close-up shots like this.
Getting Cycles-style depth of field out of Eevee with raytracing is exactly the kind of workflow hack more people should be talking about. What's your typical render time on a shot like this compared to what Cycles would've taken?
