Korea Is Calling! is a faceless cinematic journey through Seoul and Busan, from the quiet architecture of Gyeongbokgung Palace to Gwangandaegyo Bridge, the Han River, and Cheonggyecheon Stream after sunset.
My #HumanByDesign moment came when AI interpreted “palace gate” as European architecture. It looked polished, but it was completely wrong for Korea. I rejected it, researched the exact landmarks and architectural details, and rebuilt every direction with cultural and geographic accuracy.
This project reminded me that generating something with AI is easy. Knowing when it is wrong, and deciding how to make it better, is the creative work.

Human by Design
This project explores the relationship between human creativity and AI—not as competitors, but as collaborators.
Rather than creating a fully AI-generated film, I focused on documenting a real creative workflow.
The screen recordings of ChatGPT and Envato are real, and most of the visuals were created using Envato Elements assets. AI was intentionally used for only a small number of cinematic shots to support the narrative, while the creative direction, research, prompt development, editing, and storytelling remained human-led.
ChatGPT served as a creative collaborator throughout the project, helping me refine the concept, structure the narrative, improve prompts, and strengthen the overall story.
The goal wasn't to show what AI can create alone—but what humans can create when they know how to direct it.

After 15+ years, I've learned that speed comes from clarity, not shortcuts.
That's what I enjoy most: helping founders find the right direction before a single pixel is refined.
Here's how I usually approach a new brand:
1. Understand the vision
Align with the founder's goals, audience and what the brand needs to communicate.
2. Define the right creative territory
Identify the strongest references and establish a clear visual direction before designing.
3. Explore the identity
Develop logo concepts, typography and the visual language until the strongest solution emerges.
4. Build a cohesive brand direction
Turn that vision into a creative system that can grow into a complete brand experience.
