Since October 2025, I’ve been working with Frontify on an ongoing series of onboarding and tutorial videos designed to help both new and existing users better understand the platform.

So far, we’ve created 75+ videos — and the library is still growing.

The workflow is fairly simple, but the challenge is in keeping everything clear, consistent, and engaging across such a large number of tutorials.

Every video is manually crafted with the goal of making product features and workflows easier to understand and follow.

It’s been a great long-term project and an interesting challenge in building a repeatable production process without letting quality or attention to detail slip.

75+ videos and still growing is a serious production pipeline. At that volume, are you templating the structure heavily to keep it sustainable, or does each video still get built mostly from scratch?

🧠 GROWTH TIP 02/30: OPTIMIZE FOR STATE CHANGE, NOT SESSION COMPLETION

A meditation session can be completed and still create zero product value. For this wellness product, we changed the growth logic from content consumption to state change.

The framework: Signal → Selection → Shift → Proof → Adaptation

SIGNAL We identified what the user actually needed in the moment.Calm. Focus. Reset. Energy. Sleep.

SELECTION Instead of pushing users into a library of sessions, we reduced choice friction and surfaced one relevant next action.

SHIFT We measured whether the recommended practice actually moved the user toward the desired state.

The key metric became: State Shift Rate Successful desired state changes divided by completed recommended sessions.

PROOF I showed users what was actually working for them. Stress ↓18% after Evening Unwind Best time: 8:30 PM

Insights stopped being passive analytics and became part of the retention loop.

ADAPTATION Every completed outcome improved the next recommendation. The loop became: Intent → Recommendation → State Change → Proof → Better Recommendation → Repeat Use

📈 RESULTS 35% faster Time to Confident Choice 25% higher recommendation acceptance 20% higher repeat practice rate 15% lift in 30 day retention 25%+ improvement in successful state shifts as personalization learned

💡 GROWTH INSIGHT 02 The biggest shift was not getting users to complete more sessions It was increasing the percentage of sessions that actually delivered the outcome users came for. More sessions did not create the growth. Better outcomes did. That is when a wellness app stops behaving like a content library and starts becoming a product that learns what actually works for each user.
