If AI can make anything, what still makes something yours?

I've always wanted to open a cozy little café. Books on the shelves, jazz on vinyl, matcha on the menu, and stories tucked into every corner.

So I imagined one.

Using Envato's AI tools and assets, I built the identity for Stories' House. The logo, menus, packaging, and brand system all came together through AI.

But the soul didn't.

That came from the prompts I wrote, the references I obsessed over, the directions I rejected, and the feeling I kept chasing until everything belonged to the same world.

AI created the visuals.

I directed the vision.

🚨 I DON'T DESIGN MOBILE APPS AS A SET OF SCREENS. I DIAGNOSE WHERE A STARTUP CAN BREAK. For 3.5 years I've been inside a US mobile startup. First as fractional CPO. Then acting CEO. Now co-founder with equity. From the inside, you stop seeing "UI/UX." You start seeing symptoms. 🔍 Onboarding shows whether the product can explain its value at all. 💳 The paywall shows whether the product has earned enough trust to ask for money. 🧩 The MVP shows whether the founder has focus, or fear hidden behind a pile of features. 🗺️ The roadmap shows whether there's a strategy, or just motion. ✨ And a beautiful interface sometimes just makes weak logic look more expensive. That's why I never start with "how do we make it prettier." I start with different questions: ⚠️ Does the business model hold? ⚠️ Is this the right MVP for this stage? ⚠️ Is the team burning budget on things that don't matter? ⚠️ Where will the user fail to understand, trust, return, and pay? UI and UX only work when there's product logic underneath. That's the difference between a design studio and a product partner. I DON'T JUST MAKE PRODUCTS PRETTIER AND EASIER TO USE.
