Sama Waliss — Contemporary African Heritage Brand Identity ABOUT THE PROJECT Sama Waliss is a premium leather goods brand driven by a strong vision: to create elegant, functional pieces rooted in a deep cultural identity. The brand is dedicated to highlighting traditional West African craftsmanship, with a specific focus on the intricate Senegalese rabal weaving.

THE GOAL & AMBITION  The core ambition of this project was to radiate contemporary African elegance on a global scale. Sama Waliss aims to be both accessible and international, targeting modern travelers in airports and major global cities. The challenge was to design a brand identity that bridges ancestral heritage with a high-end, travel-ready aesthetic.

THE SOLUTION & EXECUTION  We developed a bold and rooted visual identity system. By reimagining traditional weaving patterns into a sleek, geometric logotype and brand mark, we gave Sama Waliss a distinctive voice. The rich color palette (deep burgundy, gold, and earthy greens) elevates the brand's premium positioning. The project encompassed a holistic rollout, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints, from physical packaging to digital presence.
