Not every Shopify feature needs an app.
I often see stores using an app for something that could be handled with a small amount of custom Liquid.
That can mean:
• extra JavaScript loading on every page
• another monthly subscription
• more settings to maintain
• more chances of conflicts after theme updates
For things like product badges, conditional content, custom product information, collection labels, or simple promotional blocks, custom Liquid is often the cleaner solution.
Apps are great when they solve a complex problem.
But for small, store-specific functionality, adding another app can sometimes create more overhead than value.
The goal isn’t to avoid apps.
It’s to keep the Shopify stack as simple as the store actually needs.

One of My Favorite Things About Framer: Components
A website shouldn't be built section by section from scratch.
With Framer components, you can create reusable elements once and use them across the entire website.
Think:
→ Navigation
→ Buttons
→ Testimonials
→ Pricing cards
→ Feature sections
→ CTA sections
Change the main component once, and the update can flow throughout the site.
That makes the website:
Faster to build.
Easier to maintain.
More consistent.
Easier to scale.
And this is where I think Framer becomes especially powerful for startups and growing businesses.
You're not just creating pages.
You're building a design system that can grow with the business.
What's one website element you would turn into a reusable component?
Most product page FAQs are wasted.
Shipping times, returns, how to wash it. Fine, but nobody's stuck on that.
By the time someone scrolls to your FAQ, they're interested, just not sold.
Something's nagging at them, and it's never "when will this arrive."
It's the quiet worry they'd never email about.
Will this work for someone like me.
What if it doesn't fit. Is it really different from the cheaper one. Am I gonna regret this next week?
That's what actually decides the sale, and most FAQs skip it.
The good ones read like the questions a solid salesperson hears all day.
"What if it doesn't work for my skin type?"
"How's this different from the cheap version?"
Every answer quietly kills a reason not to buy.
And being honest matters.
An FAQ that only hypes the product gets ignored.
One that's straight about the hesitation, even who it's not for, builds trust.
Most brands write their FAQ to save the support team some emails.
The ones that convert write it for the person hovering over the buy button, talking them past the thing they were too unsure to ask.
Don't just answer questions. Answer the doubts.
