I have recently been researching the origin of life, a true mystery we still seek the answer to, and was inspired by that search when making this ad.
I chose Nike for Morphic’s challenge because throughout the evolution of sport, they have been iconic, leading the charge into the future.
Nike’s most powerful storytelling celebrates motion as transformation: the drive to become something greater.
This ad explores movement as the origin of becoming — beginning before form itself.
It builds from primal beginnings to modern speed, ending with a cosmic scale that frames human striving as universal.
Visually I wanted it to be cinematic, emotive of Nike’s style of ads. Using minimal text and supporting music to drive the storyline & accentuate the visuals, with emphasis on the sound of a human heartbeat like an ancient, living drum.
